Photography Competition in “Butterfly Fair 2025”

Theme: “Butterflies of Bangladesh”



Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that the 15th annual ‘Butterfly Fair-2025’ is ready to roll at this moment (Date: 5th Dec, Venue: JU Campus). A Photography Competition will be held at the Fair. The theme of the competition is "Butterflies of Bangladesh". The goal of this competition is to raise public awareness about the need to conserve this magnificent pollinator and its habitat. This competition and exhibition will allow you to demonstrate your enthusiasm and skill for butterfly photography in Bangladesh.

Primary selection announcement: 25th Nov, 2024

Final selection announcement: 5th Dec, 2025

Terms and conditions of entry:

1. Butterfly with its natural habitat, foraging, mating, emerging from pupa, caterpillar, and puddling images will be greatly appreciated. Photos must be taken in Bangladesh.

2. Captive butterfly images are not eligible.

3. Butterfly with any manipulation is not eligible.

4. Image can be rejected if that makes any sense to breach country’s wildlife acts.

5. A participant can submit a maximum of two photographs.

6. Digital manipulation, stitching different frames, copyright signs, watermarks, logos, HDR, or any sort of alteration will result in disqualification from the competition without prior notice.

7. Photos must be in JPEG or JPG format and should be at least 3000 pixels on the longer side. The minimum resolution of the image is 300 dpi.

8. Rename each photo in the following format: participant’s name, Mobile no. For example:

Sahariar Tonmoy_01726XXXXXX

9. The best three photographs will be awarded. Any decision taken by the organizers and the judges in selecting the photographs will be the final decision.
